Resumen

Este artículo analiza las aporías relativas al intento de conciliar en la Política la virtud ética del hombre bueno con la virtud política del buen ciudadano. Mientras la primera se caracteriza por el saber mandar en el ámbito doméstico sobre seres antropológicamente inferiores, la segunda se identifica con el saber obedecer al mando político ejercido en la polis entre individuos iguales y libres. Por consiguiente, este artículo pretende dar respuesta a la siguiente pregunta: ¿de qué modo Aristóteles justifica que un individuo legitimado por naturaleza a mandar en el oikos acabe por verse obligado a obedecer en tanto que ciudadano de la polis?

Abstract

This paper analyzes the aporetical form through which Politics claims to combine the ethical virtue of the good man with the political virtue of the good citizen. While the former is characterized by the ability to rule over inferior anthropological beings in the domestic sphere, the latter is characterized by the political obedience due in the polis to individuals that are equal and free. This article tries to answer to the following question: how Aristotle justifies that a man that is legitimized by nature to rule in the oikos can be required to obey as a citizen of the polis?
